Today and yesterday there were a number of large fish in College Creek next to the Rowe Boulevard Bridge.
Thoughts on MICRODEM, computer mapping, a fall semester in Rabat, birds, and retirement travels in Venice

Osprey Nest Loop Tour
We have three osprey nests near home, and a loop tour can visit them all.

The route takes us to three nests, at the baseball stadium (A), the football stadium (B), and in Weems Creek (C). The full tour is about 3 miles.

Cooper's Hawk
This was a cloudy day, which degrades a bit for the photos, but this is a nice series of a Cooper's hawk with its dinner.

Wildlife in the time of Corona
The Guardian had a great photo essay on wildlife-through-the-window, which inspired to start posted some of the photos we have gotten. We will start with the wily fox.
These were about 0915 in the morning, on a cloudy day, seen from my desk and looking out the window. It was overcast, and the alley was in shadow, and this was the little Olympus camera which was the fastest to get out. Lesson learned; the Nikons with telephotos are now out anc ready to shoot.
These were last night about 2010, 12 minutes after sunset (we hear the National Anthem to mark sunset every day). In addition to the sun being down, it had been a cloudy and rainy day, but the rain had let up and we were sitting on the deck while still enjoying the fire in the fireplace when the fox went through the yard. I got out my Pixel 3A, and eventually the fox came out of the raspberries and I got these pictures. Before the fox, a racoon had gone past the back fence, and I later saw him through the trees in the neighbor's yard.
Eventually we will get a good shot of the fox, and maybe even multiple foxes.
