Ooh, Las Vegas Sunrise
When you wake up on East Coast time, it's easy to go out and capture the sunrise (not to mention a lot cooler; Labor Day weekend was well over 100°F. Later in the week it was much cooler over 9000 feet at the North Rim and over 10,000 feet at Cedar Breaks.

When we returned at the end of week, haze replaced the blue skies.

Goldfinch
One of the much less common birds to visit our feeder, and usually very skittish. Today this guy hung around.
Iridescent Feathers
Where the sun is out and catches come boring black birds, the feathers can be beautiful.
